This app is straightforward does only on thing but does it well. Currency gives you updates exchange rates for over 90 forms of money around the world. The rates are updated on a regular basis which makes it very easy to calculate how much the change in your pocket is worth. Simply set Currency to what you’re carrying (i.e. dollars, Euros, etc.) and you’ll be presented with a a list of exchange rates.
What makes Currency so great is that it’s Spartan and only has this one function it performs very well. Currency is also available in 15 different languages and the developers are open to suggestions. Have a currency not currently available in Currency? Email the developers and they’ll add it at the next release. It’s great to have an iPhone app that’s produced by people with an open ear!
Don’t discount Currency because it’s not the kind of app that can do a million things but you’ll be reaching for it over and over as you travel the world. Currency is a free download for your iPhone or iPod Touch.
