Travelholic Confessions is an online travel magazine made for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It has fresh content from travel bloggers, reviewers, and the general travel community. Currently the app updates stories twice a month with a weekly update currently in the works. The idea is to bring together a collection of unbiased travel information that you can directly access through your iPhone or iPod Touch.
The app isn’t free, but a lifetime subscription will run you $3.99. Travelholic Confessions is loaded with a variety of content from travel writers whom you may not be familiar with yet but may be enticed to follow and learn from. The hope is that by cutting out the sponsorship (like you’d find in many major travel publications) you’ll have a useful resource that will be fun and engaging as well when you don’t happen to be actively traveling.
Travelholic Confessions looks to be “More honest than Lonely Planet, farther reaching than Budget Travel, more loyal to our readers than Fodor’s and as real as any travel blog you can find.” The application gives you the ability to search for particular destinations, writers, and keywords to find the articles you’re most interested in.
You can also contribute to the discussion and add your own articles but submitting them to editor@travelholicconfessions.com. Travelholic Confessions is a great outlet for travel bloggers as it lets you leave a profile photo, introduction blurb, and a link back to your blog or website. You can get Travelholic Confessions on iTunes or download it directly the Oh Wow Studios directly.
